Privacy Policy

Theatrium for Apple TV · Last updated 5 July 2026

Theatrium is designed to keep your data on your own devices. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information, and the app contains no analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking.

What Theatrium does not collect

Theatrium does not require an account and does not gather usage data, identifiers, contacts, location, or any other personal information. There are no analytics SDKs and no advertising in the app.

Your smart-home data

When you connect Theatrium to Home Assistant or Apple HomeKit, it reads the rooms, devices, sensors and media you have configured so it can display and control them on your Apple TV. This communication happens directly between your Apple TV and your own server or home over your local network. Your Home Assistant address and access token are stored only on your Apple TV and are never sent to us or to any third party.

Music and the visualiser

If you use Apple Music, Theatrium uses Apple's MusicKit framework to show what is playing and to drive the visualiser. Playback and any related data are handled by Apple under Apple's own privacy policy. The visualiser responds only to track changes and tempo — it does not listen to your room and does not use the microphone.

Purchases

Any in-app purchase is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. Theatrium never sees your payment details. Purchase and restore are handled by Apple's StoreKit under Apple's privacy policy.

Children

Theatrium does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date above.
