iCloud Sync between Apple TVs

Two or more Apple TVs? Set your themes and cards up once and let iCloud carry them to the others.

What it does

With iCloud Sync on, your themes, cards, settings and connection address are shared across every Apple TV signed in to the same Apple Account. Set up the living room and the bedroom follows.

Each TV keeps its own smart home choice and sign-in (its Home Assistant token or Apple Home access), its own music source, the name it shows in Spotify's speaker list and its own running timers. Those never sync.

On a new installation, iCloud Sync starts On. A Theatrium that was already installed before version 1.7 keeps it Off until you choose On.

Turning it on or off

  1. Select the gear at the top right of the dashboard, choose Connections, and move down to iCloud Sync.
  2. Choose On. A setting you change on one TV then reaches your other TVs through iCloud.
  3. Off means settings stay on this Apple TV only; nothing is read from or written to iCloud.
