The Weather card
FreeWorks with: Any Apple TVAbout 1 minute to set up
Today's conditions and the days ahead, for where you live.
What it shows
The temperature now, a symbol and a word for the sky (Cloudy, Showers), humidity and wind, then a forecast for the next days with highs and lows. The same forecast appears in small type at the top right of every dashboard.

Add the card
Every card is added the same way. If you have done this before, skip ahead.
- On the dashboard, move to a card you want to replace. Press and hold the center of the remote's pad for about a second. The card dims and a Modify button appears on it.
Hold the center of the pad on the card you want to change. - Press the center once to choose Modify. The Choose a card screen opens.

The Choose a card screen. The list down the left side narrows the cards by group. - On the left, choose Information, then move right and choose Weather. (You can also leave the list on All and scroll; cards are in alphabetical order inside each group.)
- On Home Assistant you may be offered a choice of weather sources; pick one. Everywhere else there is nothing to choose: Theatrium fetches the forecast itself for your location.
- Finish with the Add to Dashboard button (on some cards it reads Add Weather). You return to the dashboard with the new card in place.
Getting the location right
Theatrium works out where you are from your Home Assistant home zone, or, without one, from your internet connection. The internet guess finds your provider rather than your house and can be a long way out. To fix it, open Settings › Connections, move to Location and type your town.
Good to know
- Display only.
- Units (Celsius or Fahrenheit) follow Settings › Appearance › Units. Home Assistant readings keep Home Assistant's units.
