The Battery card

The battery level of your phones, tablets, remotes, sensors and anything else that runs on a battery, in one list.

What it shows

Up to eight devices, each with a small battery symbol, its name, a word (Good, Fair, Low) and the percentage. The corner shows how many are low, so a glance tells you whether anything needs charging or a new cell.

Add the card

Every card is added the same way. If you have done this before, skip ahead.

  1. On the dashboard, move to a card you want to replace. Press and hold the center of the remote's pad for about a second. The card dims and a Modify button appears on it.

  2. Press the center once to choose Modify. The Choose a card screen opens.

  3. On the left, choose Energy, then move right and choose Battery. (You can also leave the list on All and scroll; cards are in alphabetical order inside each group.)
  4. Tick between one and eight battery sensors. Every battery your smart home reports is listed: phones, tablets, door sensors, remotes, smoke alarms.
  5. Finish with the Add to Dashboard button (on some cards it reads Add Battery). You return to the dashboard with the new card in place.
