The Switch card

Turn plugs, sockets and switches on and off, one or many.

What it shows

A list of up to eight switches and smart plugs, each with its name, its state and a Turn On or Turn Off button. The count in the corner, such as "4/5 on", tells you how many are running.

Add the card

Every card is added the same way. If you have done this before, skip ahead.

  1. On the dashboard, move to a card you want to replace. Press and hold the center of the remote's pad for about a second. The card dims and a Modify button appears on it.

  2. Press the center once to choose Modify. The Choose a card screen opens.

  3. On the left, choose Home, then move right and choose Switch. (You can also leave the list on All and scroll; cards are in alphabetical order inside each group.)
  4. Tick between one and eight switches or plugs. In Home Assistant, "toggle helpers" (input booleans) are offered here too.
  5. Finish with the Add to Dashboard button (on some cards it reads Add Switch). You return to the dashboard with the new card in place.

Using it every day

  1. Move to the card and press the center to enter it.

  2. Move up and down the list and press the center on Turn On or Turn Off.
  3. Press Back to leave.
