The Chart card

FreeWorks with: Home AssistantAbout 2 minutes to set up

Up to four readings on one chart, over the last 6 hours, 24 hours or 7 days.

What it shows

A line for each reading you choose, up to four, drawn together so you can see how they move relative to one another: the temperature outside against the temperature in the loft, or power use against the weather. Each line has its own color, and a legend under the chart gives each reading’s name and its value now. Marks along the bottom run from the start of the period, such as 24h ago, to Now.

Readings in different units can share a chart. The first unit gets the axis on the left and a second unit gets the axis on the right, for example degrees on one side and percent on the other. A reading in a third unit does not fit and is left off. A sensor that reports words, such as Idle, is left off too, because there is no line to draw.

The card is named after its readings, for example Air quality · Backup state. The history comes from Home Assistant, and the chart keeps the last values it has if Home Assistant cannot be reached for a while.
