Play your Plex music
FreeWorks with: A Plex serverAbout 2 minutes
Albums, artists and playlists from your Plex server, played by Theatrium itself.
What it is
With a Plex server linked, Theatrium can play the music in your Plex libraries itself, on this Apple TV. Now Playing, the album art screen and the visualizer follow whatever is playing, and the Siri Remote's Play/Pause button pauses and resumes it.
Play something
- Link your server first, if you have not: see Connect your Plex server. The server needs a music library.
- Open your music in either of two places: the Plex Libraries card, by choosing a music library, or the Plex Music button on the Now Playing card.
- Browse by Albums, Artists or Playlists. An album or a playlist opens its tracks: play from any row, or choose Play or Shuffle. An artist offers Play All and Shuffle.
- Choose Done to leave the screen. The music keeps playing.
Good to know
- While Plex music is playing or paused, the cards follow it, whichever music source you chose in Settings. When it ends, they go back to your chosen source.
- When nothing is playing, the Now Playing card shows the last Plex track you played, with Play and Shuffle beside the Plex Music button.
- Plex music is free. See Where your music comes from for the other sources.
