The Plex Now Streaming card

Who is watching what on your Plex server right now, and on which device.

What it shows

Each stream in progress: the title, who is watching, their device, how far through they are, and whether the server is sending the file as it is ("Direct play") or converting it. When nobody is watching it reads "Nothing is playing right now."

Add the card

Every card is added the same way. If you have done this before, skip ahead.

  1. On the dashboard, move to a card you want to replace. Press and hold the center of the remote's pad for about a second. The card dims and a Modify button appears on it.

  2. Press the center once to choose Modify. The Choose a card screen opens.

  3. On the left, choose Media, then move right and choose Plex Now Streaming. (You can also leave the list on All and scroll; cards are in alphabetical order inside each group.)
  4. Finish with the Add to Dashboard button (on some cards it reads Add Plex Now Streaming). You return to the dashboard with the new card in place.
